40 Years for the Sake of Allah
Islamic Relief was founded in 1984 in Birmingham, UK, in response to the devastating famine in Africa. What started as a small group of volunteers has grown into one of the world's largest and most respected Islamic humanitarian organizations.
The Beginning
In 1984, a group of students and professionals in Birmingham, UK, were moved by the images of suffering from the famine in Africa. They came together to form Islamic Relief, driven by the Islamic principles of compassion, justice, and service to humanity.
Early Years
In the early years, Islamic Relief focused on emergency relief, providing food, water, and medical aid to those affected by natural disasters and conflicts. The organization quickly gained recognition for its efficient and transparent operations.
Expansion and Growth
